Elite Noire® members enjoy the company of successful, eligible black professionals from around the country.

How do you make sure that everyone on the site is a "Professional"?

The Elite Noire® membership team personally screens each and every membership application submitted. We also employ the services of outside firms to verify the information applicants have provided.  Also, our marketing efforts specifically target African American professionals.  We have traveled across the country to professional African American conferences and groups extending a personal invitation and introduction to Elite Noire®. We also market our site specifically to professional African American publications and journals. At Elite Noire®, we continue our efforts to ensure and maintain the professional integrity of our members and the Elite Noire® community.

How does it work and how do I become a member?

You may become a member of Elite Noire® by filling out an application to join our exclusive community. Once your information has been reviewed and verified, you will be notified via email as to whether your application has been accepted or denied.  If accepted, Elite Noire® members create their personal profile and submit a photograph (please see guidelines for the type of photograph that Elite Noire® members are asked to submit). Once these steps are complete, you can begin to enjoy the benefits of being a member of Elite Noire®

Can I browse the Elite Noire® database of professional African Americans without being a member?

No. At Elite Noire® maintaining the privacy of our members is our top priority. In order to do this, as well as preserve the integrity of our site, guest passes are not granted and no one is allowed to browse our database of members unless they are a member.

Is my identity and personal information secure?

Yes. Your private information is secure.  Our concern for your security is such that inclusion of such private information on the public area of our site is not permitted. For further information regarding your privacy, please refer to our privacy policy found on the Terms and Conditions link on the website.

What types of memberships are available?

At Elite Noire® our goal is to keep the entire process and your experience as simple and pleasurable as possible.  To that end we do not offer complicated packages to choose from nor do we lock you into lengthy contracts.  Elite Noire.com is currently offering a FREE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP to approved applicants. Simply put, as long as your account remains active you will never be charged a fee to use our services.  Your complimentary membership only applies to your account that is approved during this promotion. 

How do I pay for the membership?

If you join Elite Noire.com during the FREE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP promotion, you will NEVER incur a monthly membership fee as long as your account (the profile created when the offer was in place) remains active.

Is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?

Yes, all profiles are reviewed. The Elite Noire® membership team approves all members' profiles when original applications are submitted. We reserve the right to refuse any profile or photograph that we feel is inappropriate for this site. If you as a member witness or observe inappropriate language in someone's profile, please report such activity to our team at admin@elitenoire.com.

How do I update my profile?

To update your profile, (1) Log in to your Elite Noire® account using your Username and Password, (2) Click on the "My Profile" link at the top to go to your personal profile page and then (3) Click on the "Edit Basic Details" link to make all necessary changes and then click submit.

Do I need to post a photograph on my profile page?

Photos are an important part of a person's profile. Profiles with photos get browsed ten times more often than those without photos.  At Elite Noire® we strongly urge members to upload a photo that is both tastefully done, professional and representative of you and your personality.  Doing so adds personality and presence to your profile.  To uphold the integrity of our site and our members, Elite Noire® DOES NOT ALLOW the submission of cell phone photos or photos that are either offensive, tasteless or otherwise inappropriate for our clientele. All photos will be approved by our membership team before being posted onto your profile page and we reserve the right to reject any photo that does not meet our criteria.

How do I post a photo?

Once your application for membership has been approved, you may log into your personal profile page, click the "change my photo" link to upload a new profile picture.

Does my photo have to be black and white?

If you already have a portrait available and it is not black and white, the system will automatically convert it to black and white for you.  However, if you will be taking a new portrait for upload on to the site we would prefer that it be taken in black and white.

How do I temporarily turn off my profile?

Profiles cannot be temporarily turned off at this time. If you wish to remove your personal profile, your membership to Elite Noire® must be officially terminated. If you later decide to rejoin you must resubmit an application to Elite Noire®. Please note that if the FREE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP offer has expired when you resubmit an application monthly fees will occur.

How do I cancel my membership and permanently remove my listing?

To cancel your Elite Noire® membership and permanently delete your profile, log into your www.elitenoire.com account.  Click on the "Cancel Subscription" link.  Please refer to the Cancellation Policy (which is outlined in detail in the Terms and Conditions) regarding financial obligations or potential refunds that could be applicable in the event that you cancel your membership or Company terminates your membership.

I forgot my username and/or password, what do I do?

If you forget your password, simply click on the "Reset Password" link which is found on the sign in section.  If you forget your username, email us at admin@elitenoire.com.  Both passwords and usernames are then emailed to the email account that you provided to us in your initial application.

How do I change my password?

To change your password, log in to your EliteNoire® account. Click on the " Change My Password" link on your "My Profile" page which allows you to update your password. 

How do I search for other members?

Once you are a member of Elite Noire®, log in to your Elite Noire® account and click on "Search" in the navigation bar at the top. You may search Elite Noire® members by gender, preferences, age range, location and keywords.

How do I send emails to members?

Only registered members can initiate email contact with other members via Elite Noire®. Once you have searched the site and have found a person of interest to you, you may send them a "Friend Request".  Once your request for dialogue has been accepted, you may send an email directly from your Profile "Messages" tab or go directly to their profile and click on "Send a Private Message".

How do I get emails from other members?

As an Elite Noire® member you will be notified via email of all messages and friend requests received from other members in the Elite Noire community. This email notification will also include a link back to the Elite Noire® website, where you can then log in to your account to read your messages and friend requests.

How do I block members from contacting me?

At Elite Noire® there is no need to block email messages since members cannot initiate dialogue with you unless you approved their friend request.  If you should encounter problems concerning unsolicited email messages or emails that you consider harassing please contact our team at admin@elitenoire.com.
